A popular WWE Superstar suggested CM Punk call it a career during his return to the ring at SummerSlam. The Second City Saint finally returned to action after tearing his triceps during the Men's Royal Rumble match in January.

Drew McIntyre battled CM Punk with Seth Rollins serving as the Special Guest Referee at the premium live event over the weekend. Punk got distracted by Rollins and hit The Visionary with a GTS. However, The Scottish Warrior caught the former AEW star with a Claymore to pick up the pinfall victory.

WWE shared footage from the referee cam worn by Seth Rollins at SummerSlam today on social media. During the video, Rollins hilariously told Punk that he should think about retirement as he was laid out on the canvas.

"Hey, you know you can give up whenever you want, right? You can like quit and you can retire if you want. You can leave the company, you can just get out of here if you want to," Rollins said. [From 00:36 to 00:47]

Jade Cargill comments on her friendship with CM Punk in WWE

Former AEW star Jade Cargill recently discussed her friendship with CM Punk and claimed that the WWE RAW star's energy was infectious.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter and Chris Featherstone, the former Women's Tag Team Champion noted that the 45-year-old is a straight shooter. She added that Punk wants to see everybody in WWE do great and will point out something he didn't like.

"I mean, he's [CM Punk] a straight-forth guy," Cargill said. "Like, I don't know. He's just infectious. His energy's infectious. He wants everybody to do great. He's a straight shooter. If he sees something he doesn't like, he's the type of person to come over and tell me, 'Jade, that was cr*p,' or whatever he'll say in his form of words." [From 03:57 – 04:14]

Punk made his return to professional wrestling during the second episode of AEW Rampage in 2021. Unfortunately, his time in All Elite Wrestling did not go as intended, and he was fired by the promotion following a backstage altercation with TNT Champion Jack Perry at All In 2023.
