Mark Henry worked for Vince McMahon for 25 years between 1996 and 2021. In an exclusive interview, the 2018 WWE Hall of Famer opened up about his former boss leaving the company after four decades.

In January, former WWE employee Janel Grant accused McMahon of sexual assault and trafficking. The 78-year-old denied the allegations before resigning from WWE's parent company TKO "out of respect."

Reacting to McMahon's departure, Henry told Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter that nothing is permanent in the wrestling industry:

"I believe that there's seasons for everything and eventually we're all gonna be away from the business one way or the other. I mean, either by passing away or just the fact you retire or you get fired or you amicably separate or whatever it is, there's always gonna be an exodus, and I think it was time for there to be that exodus." Bill Apter addresses Vince McMahon leaving WWE

Over the last five decades, Bill Apter has reported on three generations of McMahons leading the family business.

With Vince McMahon and his son Shane now gone from WWE, Apter is still surprised to see no male McMahons involved with the current product:

"I never thought I'd see WWE without a McMahon involved. Quite shocking to me that it's running without his [Vince's] power." [1:37 – 1:48]

Vince McMahon's daughter Stephanie McMahon left WWE after her father initially returned as Executive Chairman in January 2023. The 47-year-old made two on-screen appearances in April and it is currently unclear whether she has returned to work behind the scenes.

Stephanie's husband, Paul Levesque, better known as 14-time World Champion Triple H, now oversees WWE's creative direction.
