Maryse challenged to match ahead of WWE Royal Rumble 2025

WWE will host the Royal Rumble 2025 in a few weeks, where Maryse could return. The former two-time champion has been issued a challenge ahead of the blockbuster event.

Maryse was last seen in action nearly six years ago when she teamed up with her husband, The Miz, against another pro wrestling couple, Edge and Beth Phoenix. Now, she has a one-on-one challenge from none other than Chelsea Green.

The recently crowned United States Women's Champion met The Sultry Diva ahead of RAW's premiere on Netflix. The former shared an interesting photo on X and demanded WWE book the match.

In the photo, Maryse is jokingly trying to steal the title away from Chelsea Green, while Green looks like a damsel in distress. The Miz can also be seen in the background, looking bewildered by what is happening.

At this point, this post is just The Hot Mess having some fun. There is no indication of a match, especially for the Royal Rumble 2025. However, you can never say never in this business.

John Cena has confirmed that he will be entering the WWE Royal Rumble 2025

While Maryse's participation in the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is speculation, one superstar confirmed to be at the event is John Cena. The Leader of the Cenation himself came out and announced his intention to participate in the Rumble match.

The announcement was made last night at RAW's premiere on Netflix. The 16-time World Champion was scheduled to appear and confirmed he would pursue that elusive, record-breaking 17th world title this year. Although he was initially hesitant and believed it impossible, he finally made it his goal after some quick calculations revealed he could do it if he won the Royal Rumble.

With that, John Cena's mission for his retirement tour has been set. He plans to cement his legacy and etch his name in history books. The tour starts on February 1, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
