WWE pre-taped the most recent episodes of RAW and SmackDown, giving the talent time with their families ahead of Christmas. However, a massive championship match has officially been announced for the first show after the break.

The Stamford-based company is heading to the iconic Madison Square Garden for the Live Holiday Tour on December 26. MSG's official website has been advertising appearances by several top superstars and multiple championship matches for the live show, including one for the WWE Intercontinental Title.

Earlier today, Maddison Square Garden's X (fka Twitter) handle shared a post to announce Bron Breakker's IC Championship defense against Sami Zayn in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match. Interestingly, Breakker defeated Zayn to win the title at SummerSlam before losing it to Jey Uso and winning it back later. During his first reign as the champion, the 27-year-old's first championship defense was against Sami under the same stipulation.

"🚨BREAKING🚨Bron Breakker vs. Sami Zayn in an Intercontinental Championship 2-out-of-3 Falls Match at the annual @WWE Live Holiday Tour at The Garden on Dec 26!" read the post.

In addition to the Intercontinental Championship, two more titles will also be defended at the show. While Damian Priest will challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship, Liv Morgan will lock horns with IYO SKY for the Women's World Championship.

Sami Zayn lost his recent WWE match

Sami Zayn is currently involved in a heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior took out the Canadian on his return on the December 2, edition of Monday Night RAW.

After trading blows during the following episodes of the red brand's show, the two finally squared off in a singles match this Monday. Despite Sami Zayn's valiant effort, Drew McIntyre scored the win to maintain his 100% win record against the former IC Champion. McIntyre continued to attack Zayn even after the match until Jey Uso came out to make the save.

As Jey Uso got in position to hit Drew McIntyre with a splash, the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline showed up to take out the Yeet Master and The Great Liberator. It will be interesting to see if Sami Zayn can bounce back from the beatdown and reclaim the Intercontinental Championship at MSG.
