Massive interference allows current WWE champion to pick up huge win on SmackDown

A current champion picked up a huge win tonight on WWE SmackDown. However, he had some help from his tag team partner, even though he had asked him not to interfere earlier in the night.

Johnny Gargano has a huge history with Motor City Machine Guns due to their time in the indies. Hence, the former was happy when Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin won the WWE Tag Team Titles. However, Tommaso Ciampa was not happy about his tag team partner's friendship with Motor City Machine Guns. This seemed to cause a rift between the two of them.

Just when it looked like DIY was about to split up again, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa turned the tables and showed how united they were when they cheated to win the WWE Tag Team Titles. This didn't sit right with Motor City Machine Guns, who were out looking for revenge.

Gargano was set to face Alex Shelley tonight on SmackDown. Both men asked their respective tag team partners to stay in the back. However, Ciampa still came out to distract Shelley, which prompted Sabin to come out to the ringside as well. In the end, Gargano was able to pick up the win over his former friend after he got the three-count in the ring by holding on to his opponent's tights.

It will be interesting to see if Motor City Machine Guns will get a rematch for the tag team titles anytime soon.
