WWE Crown Jewel 2024 Premium Live Event is on the horizon and Triple H has some massive matches lined up for the show. The PLE will feature matches such as Gunther vs. Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan vs. Nia Jax to crown the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion. Apart from that, some high-profile contests have also been made official, including the much-anticipated contest between Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins.
Both Reed and Rollins have been engaged in a heated feud for quite some now. The Australian star injured The Visionary a couple of months ago and was taken out with a stomp when the latter returned on RAW. The latest episode of the red brand featured both Reed and Rollins trying to take each other out, which eventually led to General Manager Adam Pearce making the match official for Crown Jewel 2024.
While the announcement has the WWE Universe excited, a wrestling veteran has taken a shot at Triple H. Jim Cornette, while speaking in a recent edition of his Jim Cornette's Drive-Thru podcast, addressed the announcement and took a shot at The Game for calling Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther as the 'biggest match.' The 63-year-old veteran stated that fans were much more engaged in other matches rather than the "Champion vs. Champion" bout.
"They're going to do the champion versus champion gimmick in Saudi Arabia. Are they going to give Saudi Arabia all these big matches with Survivor Series so close? Maybe that's why they're doing champion versus champion...'Oh, we've got the biggest match possible, champion versus champion,' when we know that people want to see other matches more than that. So, who knows, but it's coming up soon," Jim Cornette said. [3:38 - 4:08]
