Massive update on former WWE Superstar Melina after recent concern for her safety

There was cause for concern when former WWE Superstar Melina was unreachable and unaccounted for after the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. The alarm was raised by independent wrestling promotion A Matter of Pride earlier today.

Melina is a native of Los Angeles and WWE fans had come together to pray that the former Women's Champion was found or made contact after she went missing. The promotion has thereafter shared an update on X (fka Twitter) that the 45-year-old was safe and well and had contacted them.

The former Women's and Divas Champion was a popular member of the WWE locker room. She is also someone that fans have made their voices heard about wanting to see her return, they can now rest well knowing that she is safe and well despite the recent natural calamity in LA.

Melina returned to WWE for the Women's Royal Rumble Match 2022

After years of fans pushing for her to be part of the women's evolution, the former three-time Women's Champion appeared as part of the Women's Royal Rumble Match in 2022. The 45-year-old was quickly eliminated but made quite the impression and there was a hope that there would be a way for her to pick up a storyline coming out of the show.

Given the uncertainty surrounding the fields for the upcoming Women's Royal Rumble Match, it would be interesting to see if she is one of the ladies chosen to represent the women's division in the annual gimmick match.

The former two-time Divas Champion left WWE in 2011 but has remained part of the wrestling circuit and is someone who fans believe is a legend of the business. Despite not appearing in WWE for more than three years, Melina has continued to push herself forward on Instagram and appears at regular independent events around the world, as well as taking time out to attend comic cons to meet some of her fans.
