WWE RAW will debut on Netflix on January 6, 2025. WWE analyst Sam Roberts recently suggested a massive legend could kick off the show.
John Cena returned earlier this year to reveal that he would retire from in-ring competition in 2025. The Leader of the Cenation's retirement tour is set to start in January and end in December. In an interview with Complex last August, the 16-time World Champion confirmed that he would appear on the premiere of RAW on Netflix, pointing out that he would not miss the historic show.
On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts wondered if the show would have an opening promo or be set up more like a premium live event. He proposed that the 47-year-old legend kick off RAW's debut on Netflix with a promo. The show would also feature three massive matches as Roman Reigns will face Solo Sikoa, Seth Rollins will battle CM Punk, and Rhea Ripley will challenge Women's World Champion Liv Morgan.

John Cena will reportedly face a WWE legend at WrestleMania 41
One of John Cena's most heated rivalries was with Randy Orton. A recent report from Xero News claimed WWE may have plans for the Leader of the Cenation to fight The Viper at WrestleMania 41.
In an interview with Adam's Apple earlier this year, Orton addressed the possibility of squaring off with Cena on the latter's retirement tour. He pointed out that he and the 16-time World Champion were leaving the decision to Creative.
"John and I just let Creative do what they do. And if it's meant to be, then, you know, it'll be meant to be. But I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it," he said.
Several superstars have expressed their desire to share the ring with Cena before he retires. It would be interesting to see who will be the Leader of the Cenation's final opponents.
