The Rock returned to WWE on RAW's debut episode on Netflix last Monday. However, his out-of-character promo made many question whether he would compete at WrestleMania 41. WWE analyst Sam Roberts recently gave his take on the subject.
The Final Boss turned heel following his return last year ahead of WrestleMania XL. He had a heated feud with Cody Rhodes heading into The Show of Shows. Although he pinned The American Nightmare in a tag team match on Night One, The People's Champ failed to help his cousin, Roman Reigns, defeat Rhodes on Night Two.
On RAW after WrestleMania, The Rock confronted the current Undisputed WWE Champion and promised to go after The American Nightmare upon his comeback. Last October, the 52-year-old legend surprisingly appeared at Bad Blood to make a cryptic, seemingly threatening, gesture to Rhodes, Reigns, and Jimmy Uso.
Despite all this, The Rock's appearance on RAW last Monday saw him break character and praise both Rhodes and Reigns. Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts predicted The Final Boss would miss WrestleMania 41 based on the Hollywood star's recent actions.
"Based on what we got on Monday and Tuesday, it makes me feel like we're not getting The Rock at WrestleMania this year. And it's amazing that the WWE is in a place where we want The Rock at WrestleMania, but we'll be ok," he said. [32:07-32:22]

WWE legend thinks The Rock and Cody Rhodes' storyline will continue despite what happened on RAW
After praising Cody Rhodes for carrying the company on his shoulders for the past year and hugging him, The Rock drank tequila with The American Nightmare backstage.
Despite this, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long suggested the storyline between the two superstars has not ended. Instead, he claimed on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine that what happened between The Final Boss and Cody last Monday was a setup.
"He's real clever, and you got to pay attention to him, and you got to pay attention to what he says because sometimes things that he says, they also have a clue, but you gotta pay attention to that. But like I said, I don't think this thing with him and Cody is gonna end right now. In my opinion, I think this is a setup," he said. [1:57-2:15]
It will be interesting to see if The Rock and Cody Rhodes go head-to-head inside the squared circle in the future.
