Matt Hardy recalls sustaining broken nose during match with Chris Benoit

Matt Hardy has been around the pro-wrestling circuit for more than 20 years. He and his brother Jeff Hardy are considered as one of the best tag teams in WWE history. Even as a singles competitor, Matt Hardy had several accomplishments during his career and was a fierce competitor inside the ring.

With Matt Hardy's wealth of experience and coming from the school of hard knocks, it's no wonder that his role in AEW is to impart that knowledge to the next generation as well as pursuing his creative endeavors.

Matt Hardy was always a team player and never hesitated to work despite injuries. On Twitter, Hardy commented on a GIF of a match with Chris Benoit, where he broke his nose.

Matt Hardy broke his nose on WWE SmackDown and then flew to Japan for an Asia tour

Matt Hardy's in-ring antics has resulted in several injuries over the years, and he recalled on Twitter where he broke his nose in a match for the fourth time.

This was the FOURTH time I’ve had my nose broken. This one was bad. I flew with the SD crew to Japan the next day for a week long tour of Asia. It kept bleeding over the next few days because of the air pressure from flying almost every day. https://t.co/bdxnaMtozj

Despite getting a broken nose, Hardy flew to Japan where his nose injury resulted in bleeding for days. As stated in the Tweet, the cabin pressure during the flight made matters worse. From the footage in the Tweet, it didn't make for a pretty sight.
