The road to the 2025 Royal Rumble has just got even bigger as WWE is bringing back a veteran name on Monday Night RAW on Netflix. Former WWE Champion JBL will return to the red brand next week.

John "Bradshaw" Layfield hasn't been seen on TV since the Tribute to the Troops episode of SmackDown on December 8, 2023. He last appeared on RAW on February 6, 2023, when he cut ties with Baron Corbin.

Since then, he has made several appearances outside WWE. During his time away from the Stamford-based promotion, JBL worked with promotions like TNA, GCW, and AAA, to name a few, and teased stepping out of retirement.

On the second episode of RAW on Netflix, Michael Cole announced that JBL will appear on the January 20 edition, which will take place in Dallas, Texas.

As of this writing, there's no word on what he will do on the show. In addition to his appearance, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston will return to in-ring action for the first time since turning heel on former New Day member Big E.

Elsewhere on the show, Drew McIntyre will face Seth "Freakin" Rollins in a rematch from WrestleMania XL.
