Michael Cole broke kayfabe during the main event of WWE RAW this week, which was a match between Seth Rollins and CM Punk. He referred to The Visionary by another name during commentary.
For the first time in a decade, the former Universal Champion collided with The Second City Saint during the red brand's first live episode on Netflix. Many fans were still looking forward to this match, as there was a lot of hype and the build-up delivered.
Before the bout began, Michael Cole provided some backstory for the CM Punk and Seth Rollins feud. He called The Visionary by his real name 'Colby Lopez' on commentary. He said:
"Over 20 years ago, Colby Lopez, now known as Seth Rollins, a massive CM Punk fan, got into a car and drove from Iowa to the East Coast to try out for CM Punk's training school. Seth Rollins blew Punk away, but he didn't have the money to continue training, so he went home and redefined himself and his craft. They would reunite briefly in NXT," said Michael Cole.
CM Punk won the match via pinfall after hitting Seth Rollins with the "Go To Sleep." Fans received the bout positively.
