Mickie James recently sent a message after SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis got into a heated confrontation with a WWE Superstar. The superstar in question is Drew McIntyre.

On SmackDown, CM Punk suffered a brutal attack at the hands of The Scottish Warrior. McIntyre wanted to exact revenge on Punk after the latter cost him the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle: Scotland. Drew carried Punk's unconscious and battered body all the way to the entrance ramp, before dumping it for everyone to see.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis came out and pushed McIntyre. The latter ended up pushing Aldis in response. Mickie James noticed the clip and took to X/Twitter to say the following about the altercation:

"Call him Daddy GM!!!"

What the future has in store for the 37-year-old remains to be seen.

WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis on potential in-ring return

For quite some time now, fans have been wanting to see Nick Aldis step into the ring again. It has been a while since fans saw him compete in the ring. In an interview with Gorilla Position, Aldis opened up about a possible in-ring return and had the following to say:

“I’ve seen a ton of sentiment from fans, 'We want to see you wrestle this guy.’ I appreciate all that. It’s not something I have any control or influence over. It’s very much a case of, when Paul [Triple H] and I first started speaking, I made it very clear that, 'I want to be part of the team and contribute in whatever way you think is best.' If, at some point, [getting in the ring] is best then great. The GM conversation was the shortest conversation of my career. Bruce (Prichard) called me, ‘General Manager of SmackDown.’ ‘Great, when do I start?’” [H/T Fightful]

Only time will tell if Aldis steps into the ring again. He is a former NWA World's Heavyweight Champion and has also held the TNA World Championship.
