Given its roster size, it's unsurprising that AEW has a few unhappy talents who want to part ways with the promotion. Former WWE Superstar Miro (FKA Rusev) has reportedly requested his release. However, Dutch Mantell has claimed the star wouldn't get the same money if he returned to WWE.
Under the moniker "Rusev," the Bulgarian star enjoyed decent success in the Stamford-based promotion, becoming the United States Champion three times.
He jumped ship to All Elite Wrestling in 2020 and experienced his best spell as its TNT Champion. As reported by Fightful, Miro recently requested a release despite having years left on a huge contract.
According to the reports, Miro earned seven figures in All Elite Wrestling and wished to leave due to creative differences. While speaking on the development in the latest episode of Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell noted that he didn't entirely fault the erstwhile Rusev for wanting to leave.

Regarding Miro's potential WWE comeback, Mantell claimed the former TNT Champion wouldn't get the same money Tony Khan offered him.
"I don't blame Miro, but do you think he'd get the same money from WWE? I don't think so. What's he getting from AEW?" Dutch said. [From 40:54 nonwards]
Miro last wrestled at the 2023 Worlds End PPV against Andrade, now an active SmackDown performer. The erstwhile Rusev has yet to have a match in 2024, and his next in-ring outing might not happen in the Jacksonville-based promotion if Tony Khan grants him his release.
