Multi-time WWE champions aim to dethrone Austin Theory and Grayson Waller

WWE Tag Team Champions Austin Theory and Grayson Waller have a target on their backs after they captured the titles in Philadelphia at WrestleMania 40. A popular team recently stated their intention to go after the rising duo and their titles. The duo with their sights set on the titles are Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller have made a lot of enemies in the promotion as they quickly rose to the top of their division. The two stars have a history with Gargano in particular after spending time on the developmental brand with The Rebel Heart.

Speaking on SmackDown LowDown, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, also known as #DIY, sent a message to the champions and made their intentions clear, as they wanted to win the WWE Tag Team Championships on the blue brand.

"I wouldn't call it a roll, right? because it's one match, but the difference is that on Monday Night RAW, our approach was to wait, and we played the long game. That's not the approach here on SmackDown. We're here to take what we want. And what we want is Grayson Waller, Austin Theory, and those tag team titles, because that's what we want," said Ciampa.

Johnny Gargano added:

"The agenda is #DIY Tag Team Gold 2024, no matter who steps in our way. Look, I've a long history with both Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. That is the endgame," said Gargano.

WWE Tag Team Champion fired massive shots at Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa

Before arriving on WWE's main roster, Grayson Waller had an intense feud with Johnny Gargano, and the two had an unsanctioned match at Stand & Deliver 2023. The star hasn't forgiven The Rebel Heart for embarrassing him on the brand.

Speaking on Solo Wrestling, one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions fired shots at Gargano and Ciampa and vowed that he would never let them succeed on the brand as a duo, let alone win the tag team championships.

"I'm going to make sure that the two of you never hold these championships. Johnny, I've never forgotten everything we went through (...) I truly never want you to succeed in this business. And, it is my goal, right here on SmackDown, to make sure that never happens," said Waller.

A-Town Down Under has successfully defended the titles once against Street Profits. It will be interesting to see when the two teams will collide for the titles.
