Montel Vontavious Porter reacted to an interesting fan theory about his WWE future today on social media. The 50-year-old has reportedly been removed from the promotion's internal roster.
MVP has not competed in a match since 2022 but recently served as the manager for Omos. However, The Nigerian Giant has not wrestled a match since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal won by Bronson Reed in April.
MVP shared an update earlier this week noting that he was fine amid the speculation of his WWE release and responded to some of the fan theories on social media today.
"I just read on Twitter that I was being considered for a new position and had some "tryouts" to be a producer or on commentary. Were those "tryouts" in 2020? When I was actually a producer and... doing commentary? 🤔 Ahhh those interwebs. 🤣," he wrote.

The former United States Champion was also a manager in The Hurt Business, but the faction was disbanded in 2022. Shelton Benjamin recently shared that Vince McMahon thought he took the popular group as far as it could go.

Matt Camp was a host on WWE's The Bump before he was released by the company earlier this year. Speaking on The Wrestling Matt podcast, Camp stated that there were talks of reuniting The Hurt Business with new members in the group. However, the plans never came to fruition for the popular faction.
"There was talk of re-forming The Hurt Business, and they were going to put, I saw it with my own eyes, there were creative pitches to put Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams in the group. To put Odyssey Jones in the group, and I believe Omos was supposed to be part of the group. There were talks of doing it, but it didn't happen," Camp said. (From 31:25 to 31:55)
