The Rock's ex-wife and business partner, Dany Garcia, delivered an emotional message to their daughter, Ava, on social media. Garcia was a proud mother as she celebrated not just one, but two very special occasions.
Ava, real name Simone Johnson, is the only child of The Rock and Dany Garcia from their marriage from 1997 to 2008. She's the current general manager of NXT and a fourth-generation pro wrestler as part of the Anoa'i family.
In addition to her Samoan heritage through her father, the 23-year-old star is also part Cuban on her mother's side. Garcia wrote an emotional message to her daughter for Hispanic Heritage Month and National Daughter Day.
"MY DAUGHTER, like many Cuban women that came before her, embodies evolving strength. She has learned to show up powerfully and has cultivated her confidence, allowing her to carve her own path, and most impressively, take up space and speak her mind - Attributes that have served her well as the youngest General Manager in @WWENXT history," Garcia wrote.

The Seven Bucks Productions co-founder added:
"I am endlessly proud of my daughter, along with her fellow Gen Z Latinos (1 in 4 of all Gen Z!) who are fearlessly shaping our futures and advocating for others in the process."
Ava is doing a fantastic job as the on-screen general manager of NXT. She continues to get comfortable on the mic as she grows into the role that was assigned to her back in January.
Wrestling brought The Rock and Ava closer
Speaking on The Pivot podcast last year, The Rock opened up about his relationship with Ava. He acknowledged being a full-time wrestler and actor drew a wedge between them before wrestling brought them closer than ever.
"I had her when I was young, in my twenties. So when I had Simone, I was flying by the seat of my pants. I was wrestling full-time. I started transitioning into movies full time. I had so much sh*t going on. I like to say that me and Simone grew up together but we had a relationship where I was always gone and we tried to keep it together. Now, years later, as she becomes a pro wrestler, it's actually brought us closer together," The Rock said. (H/T USA Network.)
Ava began her wrestling career in February 2020 when signed a developmental deal with WWE and she began training at the Performance Center. She made her first televised appearance two years later on NXT and made her in-ring debut on April 1, 2023.
