WWE Superstars are not above the law in the real world, and the same can be said about their families and loved ones. Recently, WCW veteran Buff Bagwell detailed the heartbreaking story of his father's imprisonment for selling a sniper.
Buff Bagwell was a decorated wrestler in WCW and one of the first ones to jump ship to WWE when Ted Turner sold his wrestling promotion. The multi-time WCW World Tag Team Champion had a very short run in the Stamford-based promotion under Vince McMahon's creative leadership before getting released.
In a video on his YouTube channel, the 54-year-old WCW veteran detailed the heartbreaking story of his father's imprisonment. The incident occurred when an undercover agent came to his parent's house and bought a silencer. Initially, both his mother and father were charged, but later Bagwell's father went to prison as he was the one with the silencer.
"An undercover agent had come in and bought a silencer he (Bagwell's father) had. A silencer back in 1993 was instant prison... My mother was charged with ten months. My father was charged for ten months. My mother took the money, and my father had the weapon. So, together they were both going to go to prison for 20 months," Bagwell said. (From 06:09 to 07:06)
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
He added how his father went to prison for owning the gun to hunt squirrels:
"My father went to prison for something that's legal today and wasn't then, and the sad part is the reason we had the silencer was because on our deer property we would use the silencer to kill squirrels," Bagwell said. (From 07:28 to 07:42)

Ex-WWE star says Shane McMahon threatened to fire him
Buff Bagwell's time in WWE was cut short as he was in the promotion from March to October 2001. On his YouTube channel, he revealed he wasn't allowed to portray his previous character from WCW and was threatened to be fired by Shane McMahon.
"Shane McMahon goes, 'Don't look in the camera,' and I said, 'Shane, that's what I do, man. That's what I do. I look in the camera, I pose, and I wrestle the best match I can,'" Bagwell said. "And he goes, 'If you look in the camera, you're fired.' And he didn't say it ugly but that's pretty rough. 'Don't look in the camera or you're fired.'" [4:34 – 4:58]
Unfortunately, Bagwell couldn't have the same amount of success in WWE as he did in WCW.
