Naomi pins released superstar in her final WWE match on SmackDown

Naomi has been on a hot streak in WWE as she is Women's Championship-bound - or at least a match seems to be coming her way. In what turned out to be unfortunate in hindsight, she pinned a released star in her final WWE match.

The November 1 episode of SmackDown was pre-taped, meaning the release only came to light hours before the show. The superstar is Indi Hartwell, who was seemingly let go by WWE, while Baron Corbin reportedly parted ways as his contract would not be renewed. Tegan Nox is another name whose WWE run has unfortunately ended.

In Indi Hartwell's final match in WWE, she teamed up with Women's Speed Champion Candice LeRae against Bayley and Naomi - with the latter pinning Indi Hartwell to pick up the win for her team.

Naomi recently pinned WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax in an impressive performance courtesy of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. This puts her in a prime position to keep gunning after the title despite some failed attempts this year.

She also defeated Tiffany Stratton a month ago. As for the elephant in the room, Hartwell was likely unaware that this was her last match for the company.

We wouldn't be surprised to see her back in WWE after a few years.
