Natalya remembered her father, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, on the anniversary of his death on Tuesday. The Queen of Harts shared several heartwarming images of the WWE Hall of Famer on social media.
"The Anvil" made a name for himself as a member of The Hart Foundation, winning the WWE Tag Team Championship twice with his brother-in-law, Bret Hart. He got into the Hart family by marrying Ellie Hart, the daughter of the legendary Stu Hart.
Neidhart passed away on August 13, 2018, after suffering an accident at his home. He was just 63 years old at the time and was survived by his wife and three daughters: Jenni, Nattie, and Muffy.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Natalya shared images of her father with his trademark beard. She also wrote a message and added a picture of a young Jim, who was lifting weights, and his records in the UCLA weight room.
"My dad was so cool. As original as they come. Thinking about him today, on the anniversary of his passing. Always very proud of him," Natalya tweeted.
Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019 as a member of The Hart Foundation. His initial WWE career was from 1985 to 1992 before moving into different promotions. He returned to the company in 1994, 1996, and 1997, while making a few appearances for WCW in 1998.
Natalya reportedly signed a new contract to stay with WWE
There were multiple reports about Natalya's contract expiring back in June, and she was even linked to AEW. However, PWInsider (H/T WrestlePurists) reported that the two sides agreed to a new contract, although details about the deal were not released.
The 42-year-old star began her WWE career in 2007, so she's been with the company for 17 years. She started her career in the developmental brand before getting called up to the main roster in 2008 as part of The Hart Dynasty.
Nattie went on to become a successful singles wrestler, winning the Divas Championship and the SmackDown Women's Championship. She also turned into a reliable veteran who the company can approach to help put over young stars or teach them how to survive the industry.
