"New IC champ incoming" - Jey Uso predicted to lose title suddenly on WWE RAW

WWE Superstar Jey Uso entered his first first-ever title defense after winning the Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night RAW. Ahead of the match, however, a former world champ predicted that The Uce would fail to retain and would be dethroned. The name in question is former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.

The New Day member was hyping his teammate Xavier Woods for singles glory ever since the latter received the title shot. Everything is seemingly not well with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods as their camaraderie has been hampered in recent weeks mainly thanks to The New Testament. However, Kingston continued to support the “QB” of The New Day and declared him the new Intercontinental Champion via a post on X/Twitter.

Interestingly, Kofi Kingston was the initial choice of Jey Uso for the title match. However, he allowed Woods to take on Jey as the former WWE Champion insisted on it.

After the loss, it remains to be seen whether the heel turn arc that has been teased by WWE for so long will finally materialize. The New Day members have fought with each other over the weeks and a breakup has been teased on multiple occasions.
