WWE Crown Jewel 2024 witnessed history as the new Women's Crown Jewel Champion was crowned at the premium live event in Saudi Arabia. The honor went to Liv Morgan, who defeated Nia Jax in a champion vs. champion match.
Triple H introduced the Crown Jewel Title at Bad Blood last month, with both brands' world champions facing off to determine the inaugural titleholder. It was revealed on the pre-show yesterday that the winner would not take the gold home but instead get a ring, as Super Bowl champions do. The title would remain in Saudi Arabia.
Liv Morgan faced Nia Jax to determine the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion. However, the match was filled with interferences as Tiffany Stratton tried to cash in the Money in the Bank on a couple of occasions. Raquel Rodriguez stopped the Buff Barbie in her tracks. Raquel and Dominik Mysterio then combined to help Morgan defeat the Irresistible Force.
Liv was awarded the title by WWE Chief Content Officer, who came out after the match. The 30-year-old has been on the run of her lifetime lately, and the victory at WWE Crown Jewel only makes her case stronger.
With Rhea Ripley out of action for the foreseeable future, it would be interesting to see what challenge awaits the Women's World Champion on RAW.
