Nia Jax explains why she cannot wait for injured WWE star to return
SmackDown star Nia Jax recently explained why she was looking forward to Asuka's return to the ring.
The Empress of Tomorrow has not competed in a match since The Kabuki Warriors lost the Women's Tag Team Championship to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill at WWE Backlash 2024 in France. Asuka is out of action with a knee injury but has been sharing cryptic updates from the company amid her hiatus.
During an appearance on Die Woche, Jax referred to Asuka as one of her toughest opponents. The champion added that she could not wait for the veteran to return to action so they could have another match against each other.
"One of my toughest opponents has been Asuka… She’s incredibly strong and she’s incredibly explosive. She’s definitely a tough opponent. Love getting in the ring with her, love working with her. I can’t wait till she comes back. I hope we go head-to-head but Asuka’s one of my toughest," Nia Jax said. [H/T POST Wrestling]
