Nia Jax recently opened up about her friendship with a popular WWE Superstar on SmackDown. The veteran captured the WWE Women's Championship this past Saturday at SummerSlam.
Speaking at the press conference following SummerSlam, Jax discussed her friendship with Women's Money in the Bank winner Tiffany Stratton. She praised the 25-year-old's talent and added that she was excited to see where their partnership goes on WWE SmackDown.
"She’s two-and-a-half years in, she gets it, she’s athletic, she’s got this aura about her. We constantly go over how many merch options we could do for her. I’m like, ‘Let’s do this and this.’ I saw her, and I instantly had a connection with her, and I’m like, ‘You know what? You’re gonna be under my wing.’ Because Nia Jax is quite the force, and she really had no choice. But I’m excited for this pairing and to see where it goes," said Jax. [H/T: Fightful]

Jax won the Queen of the Ring tournament earlier this year to earn a title shot at WWE SummerSlam. She was able to defeat Bayley to become champion at the Premium Live Event after Tiffany Stratton provided a distraction. The Buff Barbie won the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match last month and ran down to the ring during the match. Bayley took her out, but Jax was able to capitalize on the distraction to win the title.
Former WWE manager predicts Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton will battle at WrestleMania 41
Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell believes Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton are destined to face each other at next year's WrestleMania.
Speaking on a recent episode of Storytime with Dutch Mantell, the veteran praised the storyline between Jax and Stratton on SmackDown. He predicted that the two would eventually become rivals and face each other at The Show of Shows in 2025.
"Like I've always said, don't tell these stories [in a complicated way]," Mantell stated. "Tell it so simply that a 10-year-old kid or eight-year-old kid can understand it, then you'll understand it and all the people will understand it. So what we're waiting for, probably by next WrestleMania, it will be Tiffany and Nia Jax." [34:27 – 34:53]
Nia Jax has been quite impressive since her return to the promotion last year. It will be interesting to see how long the veteran can hold onto the WWE Women's Championship moving forward on SmackDown.
