The month of May ended with one thing for certain: Nia Jax will headline WWE SummerSlam. The SmackDown resident will challenge Women's Champion Bayley, as of this writing.
But of course, there is Money in the Bank in just over two weeks, which means the Role Model may not be champion by the time SummerSlam rolls around. Nevertheless, Jax has already punched her ticket.
Perhaps one thing not many fans may have noticed, though, is that this year marks The Irresistible Force's debut at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Taking to X, she made the shocking admission:
"I’ve never been on a Summerslam," Jax wrote.
The Irresistible Force is fairly new to the SmackDown women's division, having spent the majority of her career on the rival brand. Even upon returning to WWE full-time in September 2023, Jax predominantly worked on RAW.
But then she peaked in February when she challenged Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley in a losing effort on the latter's home turf. The change in scenery has certainly helped her immensely.
The question now is, will Nia Jax walk out of the 2024 SummerSlam as the new Women's Champion? Only time will tell.
Dutch Mantell critiques Nia Jax's performances since her WWE return in September 2023
Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell spoke in depth about Nia Jax during an episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk podcast last month.
The Irresistible Force was infamous during her first stint in the Stamford-based promotion for being difficult to work with because allegedly, she hurt others. But the former RAW Women's Champion has turned things around, as these days she has not only worked her way out of that bad reputation but is one of the biggest stars in the women's division.
Mantell feels WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H had a lot to do with Jax's improvement. He said:
"See, her big criticism was that she hurt people. But Triple H said, 'We gotta fix that. We can't have this specimen of a talent just sitting there doing nothing. So we can correct that.' So you can tell they have done a lot of work on her. If this Triple H's stamp is on her, the last thing he wants is for her to fail. And she's not gonna fail, you can tell how much work they put into her."
Jax and Ripley closed Elimination Chamber: Perth in February, making her one of the two women who main-evented a WWE Premium Live Event for the first time in three years.
