Former women's champion Nia Jax cut a brief promo on WWE RAW this week, which received heavy criticism from wrestling veteran Vince Russo.
Jax took over the contract signing segment for the Women's World Championship match at Crown Jewel, where Rhea Ripley will put her gold on the line in a Fatal Five-Way Match. Mami was cutting a promo on RAW General Manager Adam Pearce when Jax interrupted.
She claimed Ripley wanted her to smash other challengers for the championship before reiterating the point to Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Raquel Rodriguez. Things quickly escalated between everyone inside the ring, ending Jax's brief promo.

Vince Russo criticized Nia Jax's promo while discussing the segment on the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW. The former WWE writer described Jax's promo as "absolutely horrible" and said:
"Oh bro, this was bad. When Nia Jax started cutting that promo, the word that I wrote was this was painful. Like this was so bad, his was so middle school, this was absolutely horrible." [45:30 – 45:53]
Show host Dr Chris Featherstone further stated that Nia Jax is resented as an irresistible force and doesn't need to cut such promos for her role in title matches. You can watch the full video below:
Contract signing for title match at WWE Crown Jewel ends with a massive brawl
Raquel Rodriguez could not take Nia Jax insulting her by implying an advantage over other challengers and immediately responded. Rodiguez leaped at Jax, and the two started brawling, which prompted Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark to make their presence known.
The altercation between the four superstars forced several WWE officials to interfere. However, Raquel Rodriguez and Nia Jax manhandled security before resuming their brawl. In the end, Nia Jax stood tall while Rhea Ripley sneakily walked away after causing the chaos.
