WWE SmackDown had the daunting task of following up on its rival brand's epic show-closing cliffhanger from last week, and it delivered big time with one of its own. The blue brand's Sheriff, Nick Aldis, has raised a question to the fans.

Some of the highlights from the show were Jacob Fatu's WWE debut, Carmelo Hayes, Chelsea Green, and Andrade all qualifying for their respective Ladder Matches at the 2024 Money in the Bank, and more.

Taking to Instagram, Aldis asked fans to share their thoughts regarding this week's show. He also hyped next week's edition, which will air live from the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York.

"Thoughts on this week's #SmackDown from the legendary #allstatearena in #chicago? Who's ready for SD LIVE from The World's Most Famous Arena, #madisonsquaregarden #nyc next week?" Nick Aldis wrote.

The picture Aldis shared in his Instagram post is from SmackDown, right after CM Punk was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Punk was assaulted backstage by Drew McIntyre, who had quit WWE on RAW last week.

Nick Aldis reveals the conversation with WWE to become SmackDown General Manager was short

After making his debut in the season premiere of Friday Night SmackDown in the fall of 2023, Nick Aldis has made a notable impact in the eyes of fans. However, those who followed his career outside World Wrestling Entertainment know his caliber as an in-ring competitor and hope to see him back in the ring at some point.

During a recent interview Aldis did with Gorilla Position, he revealed that he spoke to Triple H and Bruce Prichard regarding his current position last year. When Prichard called him up and told him that their idea was to introduce him as the SmackDown General Manager, he quickly agreed and told his wife, Mickie James, about it.

"The GM conversation was the shortest conversation of my career. Bruce [Prichard] called me, 'General Manager of SmackDown.' 'Great, when do I start?' They laid out the terms and money, 'All sounds great. Let's do it.' Immediately, I said to my wife [Mickie James], 'I'm going to try and be the best GM of all time.' That's all you can do," Aldis said.

Nick Aldis has expressed an interest in wrestling again but also reminded fans who ask him about it that it is not in his control. However, he hopes to do it down the line.
