The landscape of WWE changed for the foreseeable future as Friday Night SmackDown was filled with several twists and turns on the road to Canada for the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event scheduled on July 6. Meanwhile, General Manager Nick Aldis reacted to the game-changing episode of the blue brand.

The recent episodes of RAW and SmackDown felt nothing less than the aftermath of an episode after WrestleMania. Both brands delivered in terms of storytelling and promo quality, as new feuds and storylines came out of both episodes of WWE's weekly products.

Monday Night RAW witnessed the arrival of the Wyatt Sicks and Friday Night SmackDown saw the new Bloodline unleash Jacob Fatu. Elsewhere, an angry Drew McIntyre made an example out of CM Punk in his hometown. After the show, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis reacted to it all.

"Last night was...a lot. Next week - #Smackdown from MSG," Aldis wrote.

It'll be interesting to see what actions Aldis will take as the GM of the brand following the events of Friday Night SmackDown this week.

Nick Aldis shoved Drew McIntyre on WWE SmackDown

Nick Aldis has spent decades in and around professional wrestling outside of WWE before becoming the General Manager of Friday Night SmackDown. The former NWA Worlds Champion has faced several notable names from the WWE roster outside the Stamford-based promotion.

Hence, it was a bit of a surprise to see the star become an on-screen personality when he made it to WWE. It's been several months, and Aldis has done an extraordinary job as the authority figure on WWE SmackDown. Nevertheless, the 37-year-old star is not a pushover, even when he's not wrestling.

On the latest episode of the blue brand, Drew McIntyre carried CM Punk's lifeless body and presented it to the crowd in Chicago. Soon after, Nick Aldis and the other officials came running to save the day, and Aldis shoved aside The Scottish Warrior for his actions.

The Chosen One didn't shy away and went back at Nick Aldis for putting his hands on the star. The referees and other officials had to stop Aldis before things got out of hand further. Meanwhile, a team from the local medical facility stretchered The Second City Saint out of the building and into an ambulance.
