Nikki Bella's estranged husband takes surprising step away from the former WWE star

Nikki Bella's (Nikki Garcia) estranged husband, Artem Chigvintsev, has taken a surprising step after a protective order was filed against him by the former WWE star. There was a domestic dispute between Chigvintsev and Bella earlier this year that led to the authorities getting involved.

The former Divas Champion filed for divorce from Chigvintsev after the incident that led to Artem Chigvintsev getting arrested on August 29. According to the New York Post, the former Dancing with the Stars performer has also been granted a restraining order against Nikki Bella and claimed that she was the primary aggressor earlier this year.

Chigvintsev's lawyer shared a statement with the New York Post and claimed that his client called the police on August 29 to seek protection from his wife. The 42-year-old also alleged that the WWE veteran threw their son's (Matteo) shoes at him during the dispute and provided photos of injuries sustained during their argument.

“Mr. Chigvintsev contacted law enforcement on 8/29/24 seeking protection from his wife’s persistent aggression. While he was on the phone with the police, Ms. Garcia-Colace made a pointed statement, saying, ‘Do you understand where this is going now, Artem? You just ruined my career, and you know it.'”

Former WWE star sends message to Nikki Bella

Former WWE Superstar EC3 recently sent a message to Nikki Bella while she was going through her divorce.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws show, the former NWA Champion was asked to share a message with Bella. EC3 shared that his only concern was with the 40-year-old and added that he would be contacting her on Instagram.

"It's trying times. You know I wouldn't take this time to worry about myself. My only concern is you, Nikki, that you see yourself through this, that you stay strong for you, your child, the Bella family, and anybody out there lost and looking for love. So take this time, heal, and if you need anything, I will be on Instagram DMing you to no response," the former WWE star said. [7:00 onwards]

Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Bella were married in 2022 after spending several years together. Bella has not competed in the ring since making a surprise appearance during the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble match.
