Monday Night RAW's run on Netflix began in auspicious fashion as WWE brought out several legends on TV after a long time. While discussing the Road to WrestleMania, Vince Russo imagined Brock Lesnar possibly returning soon as well.
As advertised, the RAW debut on Netflix featured John Cena coming out to lay out his plans for a highly-anticipated retirement tour. Cena promised to work hard during his final year and teased climbing back up towards the world championship again.
With Cena back in the fold, Vince Russo felt that the 16-time World Champion would be tasked with leading the company into WrestleMania. However, he won't be the only big-name WWE could rely upon. Vince Russo agreed with host Dr. Chris Featherstone that Triple H could bring back more veteran talents to boost the star power.
Russo mentioned Goldberg's rumored upcoming return and how WWE would squeeze out all the traction they can from the former WCW Champion.
Despite not being seen since SummerSlam 2023, Vince Russo speculated that Brock Lesnar's comeback could also potentially be a major story during a busy phase for WWE.
"Well, I mean they think Cena is going to pick up some of that slack and I was seeing, Goldberg is returning I think January 27th? So I think they will get a little out of Goldberg as well. Who knows if they bring Brock back? I mean, who knows." [41:20 onwards]
Brock Lesnar has been away from all wrestling-related activities since he was allegedly alluded to in Janel Grant's lawsuit against Vince McMahon. As things stand, there are no concrete backstage updates on when The Beast Incarnate will really return again.
