Gable Steveson, at the age of just 23, had already proved himself to be an athlete who comes around once in a lifetime. Having made his name as an amateur wrestler, Steveson rose to fame after capturing the Gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Shortly after, he joined WWE, but contrary to his career up to that point, he found little to no success. Now, following his departure from the promotion, he is ready to make his next big leap.
On May 3, 2024, Gable Stevesonwas one of several NXT superstars and WWE Performance Center trainees released by the company. Since then, he has been looking toward the future, intent on continuing in the world of sports. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Steveson could be on his way to the NFL, and on May 15, he even had a meeting with the Buffalo Bills.
It's important to note that the Bills are just one of the many teams that have taken an interest in Gable Steveson. But, the question remains, is he ready for such a move? Despite his exceptional athletic prowess, Steveson has never played football. With that in mind, there are doubts over whether he can make the transition.

Over the years, there have been several superstars who have performed both on the gridiron and in the squared circle. Most notably, Brock Lesnar played for the Minnesota Vikings during the 2004 pre-season. At this point, whether Steveson is up to the task remains to be seen. But, it would be fun to see him play alongside the likes of Josh Allen and Von Miller.
Gable Steveson has been hinting at big things to come
Gable Steveson certainly has a lot to think about before he makes a decision about his future. But, he has had some time to do the same already. Despite being signed to WWE, Steveson only ever had one official match against Baron Corbin, and after that featured in several Live Shows and Dark matches. However, prior to his release from the company, he hinted that he had big things planned.
On April 22, just a week or so before his release, Steveson took to Instagram where he shared a picture of himself looking rather fashionable. But, what caught the eye of many was the caption that read, "All is good. About to be better!". Given what happened shortly after, it could be safe to assume that the Olympic Gold medalist already knows where his future lies.
There have been reports that he is torn between choosing a career in MMA and the NFL. But, regardless of what he pursues, if his resume is anything to go by, he is sure to excel.
