Omos remains on hiatus from WWE but has found a new faction and championship gold elsewhere. The towering grappler also continues to build a streak and has increased his schedule for the first time since WWE pulled him from the road after WrestleMania XL.
The Nigerian Giant last wrestled for WWE in April for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal during WrestleMania XL Weekend. Between that and the Royal Rumble, Omos had four non-televised live event wins over Odyssey Jones and ten over Akira Tozawa. The year before included around 30 live event wins over Tozawa, Ricochet, Elias, R-Truth, Rick Boogs, Dolph Ziggler, and Mustafa Ali, a RAW enhancement talent win, the WrestleMania 39 loss to Brock Lesnar, the Backlash loss to Seth Rollins, a SummerSlam Battle Royal, and The Rumble.
Omos had internal support at one point and was in line for a strong push. He had a tag team championship reign with AJ Styles and a win in The Rock's 25th Anniversary Battle Royal in 2021, but things seemed to taper off in 2023 in between feuds, and then many were left wondering where the rising superstar was throughout last year. The buzz picked up in December when the 30-year-old was surprisingly announced to make his Pro Wrestling NOAH debut in Japan.

The Colossus has joined the Team 2000X faction with Jack Morris, GHC Heavyweight Champion Ozawa, Daga, Yu Owada, and former WWE star Yoshi Tatsu. Omos and Morris teamed on January 1 at NOAH's The New Year 2025 event from Nippon Budokan in Tokyo and dethroned Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura of the GHC Tag Team Championship. He is now booked for more dates.
Omos has been announced to debut at Tokyo's legendary Korakuen Hall on January 11 at NOAH's Star Navigation Premium 2025 event. He and Morris will face Harutoki and Kaito Kiyomiya in non-title action. The former RAW Underground brawler will then work a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Kai Fujimura and Alejandro at NOAH's Sunny Voyage 2025 event on January 12 from Gunma Convention Center in Takasaki.
Omos' last announced NOAH date is the Sunny Voyage event on January 19 from the Fureai Cube in Kasukabe. He will team up with Owada to face Soya Manuabu and former PRIDE fighter Kazuyuki Fujita.
Omos will likely be added to at least one more NOAH date if they plan on having him drop the GHC Tag Team Championship and if he's headed back to WWE for a return during the WrestleMania 41 Season. The apparent schedule fuels speculation on a big comeback at the February 1 Royal Rumble for the Nigerian Superstar.
Omos reunites with WWE Crown Jewel opponent
Omos and Braun Strowman are the two of the largest WWE Superstars. The gigantic heavyweights once battled at WWE Crown Jewel 2022 in Saudi Arabia.
The Monster of All Monsters and The Nigerian Giant reunited last month while both were on hiatus from the company. As seen below, Omos and Braun joined Rey Mysterio and others for Dana White's Power Slap 10 event in Las Vegas.
Strowman and Omos had several TV segments to build to their Crown Jewel clash in 2022. The official weigh-in for the match saw Braun come in at 335 pounds while Omos weighed in at 416. The seven-minute spectacle ended with Strowman getting the win via pinfall.
