Omos has been away from the WWE Universe since the WrestleMania XL Weekend, where he came up short in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The massive grappler recently shocked the wrestling world with a championship run, and now he's terrorizing others backstage while throwing around bold declarations on what's next. Omos has also revealed his new very-telling nickname.
The Nigerian Giant made his Pro Wrestling NOAH debut on January 1 in Tokyo, Japan. Omos joined Team 2000X with Jack Morris, Daga, Yu Owada, Yoshi Tatsu, and GHC Heavyweight Champion OZAWA, then teamed with Morris to dethrone Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura of the GHC Tag Team Championship at NOAH's The New Year 2025 PPV from historic Nippon Budokan.
Omos has continued his NOAH dominance. He teamed with Owada and Morris at New Year Reboot 2025 from Tokyo's Shinjuku FACE, defeating El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Saxon Huxley, and Galeno Del Mal. NOAH's Star Navigation Premium 2025 on January 11 at the legendary Korakuen Hall in Tokyo saw Team 2000X win a 6-on-4 Handicap Match over All Rebellion. Earlier in the show, Omos and Morris defeated AR's Kaito Kiyomiya and Harutoki in non-title action.
The Super Mega-Weight officially arrived today as Omos defeated Tadasuke and Yuto Kikuchi in a one-minute 2-on-1 squash match at NOAH's Sunny Voyage event at the Gunma Convention Center in Takasaki. The giant grappler issued a warning and touted his dominance at the post-show press conference while reiterating a promise he made early on.
"My dominance continues! I said it at the beginning of the year - I'm here to dominate, and every match I have done nothing but dominate. Don't forget! The moniker is now The Super Mega-Weight, and there's nothing no one can do about it," Omos said.
Omos and Team 2000X will return to action on Sunday, January 19 at the Sunny Voyage event from Fureai Cube in Kasukabe. He is set to team with Owada against Soya Manuabu and former PRIDE fighter Kazuyuki Fujita.
Omos rumored for upcoming WWE return
Omos is currently scheduled for one more Pro Wrestling NOAH date after January 19, and that is the Sunny Voyage event on Saturday, January 25 from Edion Arena in Osaka, Japan. If the heavyweight superstar were to finish up on this date, he could make a special return to WWE.
The Nigerian Giant is rumored to finish up with NOAH in late January as he and Jack Morris have been announced to defend the GHC Tag Team Championship against Galeno and Kaito Kiyomiya in Osaka that night. A title change could bring the end of Omos' NOAH run and put him back in WWE before the Royal Rumble on February 1.
Omos previously performed as a Royal Rumble competitor in 2022, 2023, and 2024. It was recently revealed how WWE once nixed a massive Rumble angle between the rising superstar and one of the biggest names in the business.
