Alpha Academy's issues on WWE RAW picked up this week as Sami Zayn continued trying to get Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa to abandon Chad Gable. After the Intercontinental Champion won a non-title bout against Otis in just over a minute, Gable attacked Zayn and ordered Otis to strike, but he refused. The former Shorty G repeatedly slapped his partner, leading to The Blue Collar Brawler unloading on Sami. Now, Otis has shared a heartbreaking message regarding his personal life.

The 32-year-old was a successful amateur wrestler from 2008 - 2014 and almost made the U.S. Greco-Roman wrestling team for the 2012 Summer Olympics. This was also a hard time for Otis, as his sister passed away from a drug overdose in 2012. While she was his older half-sister and he had an older half-brother, Otis talked about their importance to his journey.

Otis took to X today to pay tribute to his late sister, Kari. The 2020 WWE Money In the Bank winner shared a throwback Christmas photo of the two and recalled her love of heavy metal.

"MISS YOU SISSY 😘 Not a Day goes By I don't think about yee Only Person I know that Had to get new set of speakers 🔊 in her room every month from constantly havin her Heavy Metal BLASTIN' Babe I LOVE YOU SISSY - Baby Brother Niko," Otis wrote with the photo below.

In January, Otis announced the tragic passing of his mother and shared several family photos.

The former Heavy Machinery member received tributes from his fellow pro wrestlers.

Veteran believes WWE could finally turn Otis

The Alpha Academy turmoil has become one of the hottest angles on WWE RAW. Amid rumors on the faction's direction, many fans have called on the company to make a full-fledged babyface turn with Otis.

The legendary Bill Apter recently discussed Alpha Academy on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW and predicted that we might see The Blue Collar Brawler finally leave Chad Gable.

"The fans love Otis. They loved him a long time ago when he won the Money in the Bank match. I think they should've just kept him a babyface, they loved him. I think that Otis is gonna morph into a higher babyface spot. Yeah, they wanna see him. Somebody dropped the ball. They ended it quickly. There's still time to revive it," Bill Apter said.
