Paige underwent neck surgery yesterday, and she took to twitter to announce that her surgery was indeed successful.
Her fiancé Alberto Del Rio was there with her before and after the surgery as well
Paige responded to Alberto Del Rio’s presence by tweeting:

She even got a visit from her good friend Natalya and went on to Tweet about that as well, calling her a “real friend”
If Paige took the long-term recovery surgical option, which it looks like she did, then her road to recovery will be for 6 to 9 months. It is a long period but it is necessary in order to fully rectify the nagging neck issues she has faced for so long.

What is interesting is the fact that WWE doctors did not approve of the surgery, so WWE will not be paying for it like they would in normal cases. Why they felt she did not require the surgery is a mystery that only she and WWE themselves know. Regardless, she was in the hands of a good doctor who even Nikki Bella had previously praised herself.
It is good to see that Paige will be physically better by next year. This year would definitely have to rank lowest for her in terms of her WWE career.
The fact that she will have been suspended for a total of 3 out of 12 months this year by the end of the current suspension she’s facing means that she missed not only a quarter of a year but a quarter of a year’s pay.
Regardless, WWE are well aware of the talent that Paige has, and once she comes back to WWE, there will undoubtedly be a place for her on the Raw roster, unless she gets drafted to Smackdown Live in the mean time. If there is anyone that would benefit from going to the blue brand now, it would be Paige.
