A WWE Hall of Famer has pitched a shocking angle for Paul Heyman upon his return, which could see him convince a top star to turn heel. Bully Ray thinks that The Wiseman could be the ideal candidate to facilitate Cody Rhodes' heel turn in the Stamford-based company.

Heyman has been absent from WWE programming for weeks now after he was kicked out of The Bloodline following his refusal to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as his Tribal Chief. While Roman Reigns has since then made his triumphant return on SmackDown, fans have been patiently waiting to see his Special Counsel join his side.

Bully Ray, however, has other ideas regarding what Paul Heyman could do. While speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, Ray referenced a Star Wars moment where Emperor Palpatine manipulates Anakin Skywalker to join the dark side. The WWE veteran feels Heyman could convince Cody Rhodes to turn heel similarly.

"When Emperor Palpatine is telling the story to Anakin Skywalker about [Darth Plagueis] the wise, and you can see the wheels turning in Anakin. And he asks the Emperor, 'Is it possible to learn this type of power?' And that's when the Emperor says, 'Not from a Jedi.' A Jedi is a babyface. That's when the turn comes. I just got goosebumps thinking about that scene because I can see that scene playing out between Paul Heyman and Cody Rhodes," Bully Ray said. [H/T WrestlingINC]

It remains to be seen what the future has in store for the 39-year-old star.

Sam Roberts on why Roman Reigns returned to WWE without Paul Heyman

A few weeks ago on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts explained why Roman Reigns may have returned without Paul Heyman on his side. The RAW Talk host feels that WWE wanted to depict The Original Tribal Chief in a vulnerable condition for the first time since he adopted his new avatar in 2020:

"Well, number one, it was because we needed to showcase Roman as being vulnerable for the first time. For the first time in four years, Roman Reigns was completely on his own, and secondly, because part of the battle that Roman is fighting right now is that, 'You [Solo Sikoa] took The Wiseman away from me!'''

Reigns is currently gearing up for Bad Blood 2024, where he will team up with Cody Rhodes to take on the duo of Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
