Paul Heyman has been out of WWE programming for a few weeks now. The Hall of Famer was last seen on Smackdown when Solo Sikoa, alongside The Bloodline, attacked him, sending him through the table to take him off television. However, since Roman Reigns' return to the company, the WWE Universe has been waiting for the Wiseman to mark a return.
WWE has not sent out an update on Heyman's condition following the brutal attack from The Bloodline. However, they have teased the Hall of Famer's return with some momentary work from the Original Tribal Chief. During this week's edition of WWE SmackDown, Reigns referenced Heyman and stated that if he was present, this Bloodline feud would have been taken care of.
During a recent edition of Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru podcast, Cornette discussed Heyman's absence from the company. The veteran stated that while WWE was not ready to bring the Wiseman back on TV anytime soon, they should at least reveal what happened to him. Detailing an injury would be better for the WWE Universe to reconnect with Heyman once he returned, feels the veteran.
“Would it be good if somebody said what the fu*k actually was the matter with him? The extent of it is he got powerbombed on the desk and suffered a cervical blah blah blah, and he can't move his jaw. He's not dead, he's not dead—you know he's coming back—but they haven't said exactly what was the matter with him or how long it would be. Well, not even how long it would be, but one would think they would say, ‘Poor, poor Wiseman, what he did to him. He's still bedridden,’ or whatever,” said Jim Cornette [3:38 onwards]
