Former WWE head writer was not pleased with Jordynne Grace's spot at the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble Match
While Jordynne Grace had quite a brutal confrontation with Bianca Belair at the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble Match, it did make for a visually entertaining spot. However, former WWE head writer Vince Russo was not pleased with how risky the spot was.
In her attempt to eliminate the 28-year-old star, Bianca had hoisted her up on ringside to slam her on her back. They later stated that they had practiced the spot quite a few times. While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo podcast, Vince Russo said:
"I saw a video of Jordynne Grace, I saw a video today, and Hollywood, your favorite reporter, Denise Hollywood [Salcedo], was interviewing her and she is saying that she and Bianca Belair practiced this spot for the Royal Rumble. They practiced this spot before the Royal Rumble on the apron of the ring about five times, and they couldn't get it right." [02:30 - 03:12]
Russo went on:
"Bro, she said they practiced it five times, didn't get it right, and went out there and did it anyway. It's like, why? Why?!" [03:41 - 03:52]
As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for Jordynne Grace down the line in WWE.
