A beloved personality has officially bid goodbye to the WWE universe following this week's episode of SmackDown. The person in question is Kayla Braxton, who made her final appearance for the company on Friday night.
A few days back, Braxton stunned the wrestling world when she announced she was leaving the promotion after eight years with the company. Kayla had endeared herself to fans as one of the most popular backstage hosts. It was also reported that the 33-year-old turned down the promotion's new offer in hopes of exploring opportunities beyond professional wrestling.
Following this week's SmackDown from MSG, Kayla Braxton took to Twitter to send an emotional message to her legion of fans. She wrote that she was overwhelmed and promised to see them again in the future.
"I love my WWE family. Thank you guys so much. I’m overwhelmed. I will miss you all but we will see each other again," wrote Braxton.

Fans shouldn't expect Kayla Braxton to join AEW after leaving WWE
When Kayla Braxton announced that she was departing the Stamford-based promotion, it quickly gave way to rumors about her potential AEW signing.
Even rumors about her engaging in talks with the company began spreading on the internet. However, Braxton quickly quashed the rumors, making it clear that if she was to ever join the wrestling business again, it would only be in WWE.
Kayla Braxton also received a memorable farewell after this week's SmackDown when Cody Rhodes brought her to the entrance ramp. Based on this, it's safe to say Braxton's departure from the company was amicable, and fans might see her back, possibly in a few years.
