Popular WWE name spotted without shoes on SmackDown; gets called out by commentators

This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw a prominent WWE personality appear without their shoes on the show. This resulted in the 43-year-old getting called out by the commentators moments after he finished speaking to three reigning champions. The man in question is Byron Saxton.

The veteran interviewer and presenter was seen backstage where he was interviewing the Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. He congratulated them and asked them what was next for them, to which the champions said that their open challenge was still on.

Shortly after, WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax walked in and reminded the tag champs that she had bested both of them and that SmackDown was her kingdom. All this while, however, Byron Saxton stood before them in just his socks, clearly missing his shoes. He was even called out by commentators Michael Cole and Corey Graves as soon as the segment ended.

Notably, Graves had made fun of Saxton last week as well, where he remarked that the latter’s suit looked like he had stolen it from a child. So far, Saxton hasn’t given any explanation as to why was walking around backstage and conducting interviews without his shoes. It would be interesting to see if he reveals any particular reason for his actions or if he will come up with some new wardrobe irregularity next week on WWE SmackDown.
