Triple H and Kevin Owens got physical in the aftermath of Saturday Night's Main Event. Both men got involved in a shoving contest after KO took out Cody Rhodes with a package piledriver. The confrontation was put on social media but didn't air this week on SmackDown.

Speaking on a recent edition of BroDown on Backstage Pass, Vince Russo addressed the confrontation between Levesque and Owens. The former WWE writer said the company might not have aired the angle on television due to one specific reason involving the fans.

"We know they are writing for social media. We know who they are writing for. And, immediately, everybody started talking about a match between Kevin Owens and Triple H. That's why they didn't do it. That's why they didn't show any of that any more." [From 16:45 onwards]

WWE did air a promo featuring Kevin Owens with the Winged Eagle Championship belt this week on SmackDown. The video package saw Owens reiterate he should've won the Undisputed WWE Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event, adding that it wasn't his fault for what happened to Cody Rhodes.

Owens has refused to return the championship, and he might not unless he could get another shot at the title. It remains to be seen how Triple H books this storyline.
