A 36-year-old WWE Superstar could be set to walk out of SummerSlam with a major title. The promotion is coming off an eventful WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event this past Saturday night in Toronto, Canada.

Gunther will be challenging Damian Priest for the World Title at WWE SummerSlam as a result of winning the King of the Ring Tournament earlier this year. According to BetOnline, Gunther is the heavy favorite to win the World Heavyweight Championship match at The Biggest Event of the Summer next month. As of now, The Ring General is coming in at -700 odds to dethrone The Judgment Day member at the premium live event.

Damian Priest was able to escape with the World Heavyweight Championship at the premium live event this past Saturday night. Drew McIntyre attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract but CM Punk attacked The Scottish Warrior. The Archer of Infamy was able to capitalize on the interference to retain his title.

Major WWE star wants another big match against Gunther

Drew McIntyre is hoping for another chance to battle Gunther down the line. The veteran had multiple chances to put an end to the Imperium leader's Intercontinental Championship reign but failed to do so.

In an interview with WrestleManiac UK, McIntyre was asked about the possibility of facing Gunther once again. He noted that The Ring General had two victories over him and definitely wanted the chance to settle the score down the line. He also had tremendous respect for the 36-year-old, who was one of the very few people who had beaten McIntyre clean in the past few years.

"No, I feel good. Gunther is somebody who's been on fire and he's an incredible in-ring performer. He's one of the few people that I can count again on one hand how many people have beaten Drew McIntyre clean one-on-one in the past four years [...] He's one of them," McIntyre said.
