Former WWE Superstar Maryse recently shared a heartbreaking post on social media following a personal loss. She did so shortly after her husband The Miz posted that his grandmother had sadly passed away.

The two-time WWE Champion penned a heartfelt tribute to her on Instagram. Shortly after that, Maryse posted about Grandma Dixie too, explaining how sudden her passing was. The former Divas Champion stated that she and her daughters got their Christmas table yesterday morning, only for everything to change later in the day:

"Yesterday morning, the girls and I got our Christmas table ready! We laughed and danced listening to Holiday music! Last night, Grandma Dixie was gone. Unexpectedly. Just like that. Heaven has gotten another angel! Please HUG your loved ones this Christmas," wrote Maryse.

We at Sportskeeda Wrestling send our condolences and best wishes to The Miz, Maryse, and their entire family as they deal with such a heartbreaking loss. It is an incredibly sad situation, especially during this time of year.

Will Maryse ever return to WWE?

The chances of the former Divas Champion returning to the ring seem slim. Maryse hasn't wrestled since Royal Rumble 2022, where she teamed with The Miz against Edge and Beth Phoenix.

However, years after that, she had various health issues. The former WWE star underwent surgery to deal with a pre-cancerous condition and required a total hysterectomy. Fortunately, Maryse is healthy again, announcing she was tumor-free earlier this year. While a non-wrestling role is possible, it doesn't seem too likely that she will return to the company alongside her husband frequently.

The Miz is currently in the middle of a personal rivalry with The Wyatt Sicks on Monday Night RAW, having joined forces with The Final Testament. They have already won one match against Uncle Howdy's faction, but it remains to be seen if the two-time WWE Champion is on the winning side of the entire feud.
