WWE legend Gangrel has shared an unfortunate health update. He recently underwent two surgeries within a span of four months.

Gangrel, who is 55 years of age, is among the oldest active wrestlers today. He became famous for his vampire gimmick in WWE during the Attitude Era. He briefly led a group with Edge, now known as Adam Copeland, and Christian called "The Brood."

Adam Copeland and Gangrel recently reunited at AEW Double or Nothing earlier this year. The Vampire Warrior emerged from beneath the ring to help his friend pick up a win over Malakai Black in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match. Since then, he has not appeared on television.

Gangrel recently took to his X/Twitter handle to reveal that he underwent a total hip replacement surgery three months ago and a total knee replacement surgery three weeks ago.

Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.

"I’ve been hanging low last 4 months, reason is I had a total hip replacement 3 months ago and 3 weeks ago a total knee replacement. I’m on my way back up and feeling good! #wantsome #getsome #badenough #takesome #cantstop #wontstop #fanginNbangin," Gangrel shared.

WWE legend Gangrel opens up about his AEW appearance

While speaking to legendary wrestling journalist and Sportskeeda's own Bill Apter, WWE legend Gangrel disclosed when Adam Copeland approached him about appearing in AEW:

"Once he went over and chose to start working with AEW, he still had that idea. About two months prior, he called me up and said, 'Hey, these guys think it will be cool. What do you think about coming up and finishing that idea by coming at Double or Nothing and help me out and have a little reunion?' I said, 'I would love to.'"

The Rated-R Superstar initially wanted his former Brood stablemate to make a cameo during his Hell in a Cell Match against "The Demon" Finn Balor at WrestleMania 39. However, WWE denied his request.
