The Rock recently returned to WWE with appearances on the RAW Netflix Premiere and NXT New Year's Evil. Following the two successful shows, former 24/7 Champion R-Truth shared a social media update teasing teaming up with The Final Boss.
R-Truth won the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship (later replaced with the new World Tag Team Championship belts) alongside The Miz at WrestleMania XL. Awesome Truth held the gold for 79 days before losing to The Judgment Day on the June 24, 2024, edition of Monday Night RAW. The duo shortly broke up after The A-lister turned his back on Truth.
Earlier today, R-Truth posted a picture of himself standing alongside The Rock on his Instagram profile. The veteran performer joked about being a childhood fan of 16-time World Champion John Cena. He further teased aligning himself with The Great One, asking the fans to suggest a name for his team with the 52-year-old:
"When I was a kid, I grew up watching my childhood hero @johncena have countless battles with @therock …I finally had a chance to meet #Thefinalboss 🙌🏾, 🤔 name this team," he wrote.

WWE Hall of Famer wants The Rock to return full-time
Speaking on a recent edition of Busted Open Podcast, veteran wrestler Bully Ray suggested The Final Boss return to WWE on a full-time basis.
The Hall of Famer stated that he wants the Hollywood star to be fully invested in his character and use his star power to help other talents get over.
"If The Rock comes back in 2025, I wanna see The Rock come back in 2025. I don't want part-time bullsh*t. Come back and be fully invested. As invested as you possibly can. [...] Not just come back for WrestleMania season and then split again. Come back and invest a year in the WWE. [...] I wanna see him fully invested, not just in a part-time role. I wanna see The Rock use his character, his star power, [and] the amount of that spotlight that he commands to help get everybody else over. One Rock can get over a plethora of talent. Give guys and gals the bump that they need to move up the card. So, that's the broad stroke of what I'd like to see from him. A little bit more of a full-time investment," he said. [From 3:26 - 4:49]
