Friday Night SmackDown was a thrilling episode yet again this week. The WWE Universe was star-struck at Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes’ cinematic segment. Superstars such as Kevin Owens, Jacob Fatu, the Tonga brothers, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and more were featured on the card.
Despite the stacked card, one major name was missing on the blue brand this week. The superstar who was not on the show this week was Randy Orton. Fans were wondering why The Viper did not come out to save his ally and tag partner, Kevin Owens, while he was targeted by Bloodline one more time.
Shortly after the show, Randy Orton's wife Kim shared a picture with her husband where she made it clear that the former champion was not backstage and he was spending quality time with her on a vacation.
Finally, Randy Orton himself has broken his silence for the first time after missing the blue brand show this week. The Viper shared a picture of him from the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins in Belize, confirming that he was on vacation with his wife and that was the only reason he was not there to assist Kevin from the sudden attack from The Bloodline.

Kim Orton had commented under the picture The Viper uploaded from their vacation.
“Love you, honey ❤️,” Kim Orton commented.
Randy Orton gearing up for NXT debut
On this week’s episode of NXT, WWE officially confirmed Randy Orton was set to make his in-ring debut in the developmental band on the October 8, 2024, edition of the show. The Viper confirmed his opponent through his official X/Twitter account. He announced he will face Je'Von Evans in a singles match.
At Bash in Berlin 2024, Randy Orton locked horns with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in a title match. The Apex Predator failed in his efforts to capture the heavyweight title at the premium live event. Following his loss, he made his return to the blue brand on September 13, 2024, as the mystery partner of Kevin Owens and took out the team of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.
It will be interesting to watch Randy Orton’s in-ring debut at the white and gold brand and what Triple H-led creative has planned for him next.
