The Bloodline seemed to find it more important that Randy Orton and Kevin Owens don't qualify for the Money in the Bank over one of the group's members qualifying for the match. That plan ultimately worked out as Orton was pinned on WWE SmackDown tonight in a huge upset.
SmackDown this week began the Money in the Bank qualifiers for the blue brand, with Chelsea Green picking up the first major upset of the night by beating Bianca Belair and Michin to qualify. On the men's side, a Triple Threat match between Randy Orton, Tama Tonga, and Carmelo Hayes to qualify was set up.
As expected, there was a Bloodline interference and out came Tonga Loa. However, Kevin Owens too came out and took out Loa at ringside, distracting Randy Orton. As a result, 29-year-old Carmelo Hayes took advantage and pinned Orton to qualify for his first Money in the Bank ladder match.

Carmelo is certainly proving to be "him" after an impressive showing in the qualifier. This will be the biggest opportunity of his career, and he directly benefited from The Bloodline's feud with Orton and Kevin Owens.
Even when Kevin Owens came out for his match, The Bloodline attacked, and Orton came out for the save.
It's going to be interesting to see how Carmelo does at Money in the Bank.
