Corey Graves made a hilariously snarky yet accurate comment on RAW this week. SmackDown Women's Champion Rhea Ripley, who is expected to swap titles with Bianca Belair soon, defeated Dana Brooke and brutalized her before a certain 23-year veteran made the save. Graves then called out the veteran for her lack of urgency when walking to the ring.
It was Natalya, who will be Rhea Ripley's first challenger for the RAW Women's Championship, assuming that she gets a hold of it soon. The Queen of Harts wore heels, making it difficult for her to run to the ring.
It was admittedly hilarious watching Rhea Ripley continue the attack on the popular Dana Brooke even after Natalya came out, and Corey Graves openly called her out on it:
The weird segment aside, the consensus seems to be that Natalya challenging Rhea Ripley isn't the best of ideas. WWE has historically used the veteran as either a filler opponent or simply one to elevate the current/younger superstar.
There isn't anything wrong in itself, but since it will likely be the women's title match at Night of Champions, fans are admittedly underwhelmed.
We wonder what Corey Graves will have to say about Natalya next week when they get into a confrontation.
