WWE's pay-off to slow-burn storytelling has been nothing short of a soap opera. Last night on RAW, fans' jaws dropped when Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston turned heel on Big E during The New Day's 10th anniversary celebration.

For months, fans wondered if either Woods or Kingston would turn on each other amid growing frustration. But little did they know it would be a returning Big E who would bring them back together in the most evil way possible.

The Master of the Five-Count expressed his desire to manage Woods and Kingston but The New Day felt the ship had already sailed on that. Woods and Kingston questioned Big E for leaving them and choosing his "new life" over the group.

Xavier Woods asserted that Big E became a burden for The New Day and claimed he would never be medically cleared to wrestle again. Woods told E to get out of the ring, signaling the end of their stable after being together for a decade.

Earlier today, WWE's official X/Twitter handle posted a message for the wrestling fans, saying:

"Good morning to everyone except Kofi & Xavier," the official handle wrote.

What's next for Big E in WWE?

Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, wrestling analyst Sam Roberts weighed in on The New Day break-up and discussed whether fans have seen the last of Big E in WWE.

"In order for all this to be worth it and I worry because Xavier Woods said it. 'Let's be honest, you're never gonna be medially cleared.' I don't know if we have seen the last of Big E. The last thing I wanna see is Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston put their hands on Big E. That could be too much," said Sam Roberts.

According to recent reports, the former NXT Champion has not re-signed with WWE or been offered a new deal. With his in-ring future hanging in the air, it would be interesting to see what Big E does next.
