Rhea Ripley was extremely emotional after suffering a major betrayal from Dominik Mysterio at WWE SummerSlam last Saturday. A WWE personality claimed that The Eradicator's sadness after the match was legitimate for a significant reason.
The former Women's World Champion attempted to recapture her title from Liv Morgan at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Nevertheless, Dirty Dom turned on her after two years of being her on-screen romance and helped the 30-year-old retain the championship. After the match, Dominik made out with Morgan in front of a crying Ripley. Speaking on his Cheap Heat podcast, WWE personality Peter Rosenberg predicted that The Eradicator got legitimately emotional because she felt someone else was taking her place.
The former 24/7 Champion pointed out that Ripley had formed a legitimate close friendship with Dominik as they became an on-screen couple. Hence, she was emotionally affected by the end of that story:
"I literally, she was so emotionally affected by the end of this story. To see A. how much she loves it and lives it, but also, you know, I think, and that's why I feel comfortable saying it, she speaks very openly and publicly about what those guys mean to her because her family is in Australia. So, Dominik really has become this important fixture in her life. So, while she's sitting there crying in the ring because Dom is walking off with Liv, while she is not in love with the guy playing Dominik Mysterio on TV, she really is crying because someone is really taking her role," he said.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Rosenberg pointed out that Morgan will now replace Ripley in everything the latter used to do with Dominik, including public appearances, which might feel "weird" to The Eradicator:
"Like, that really is happening. Like, Liv will now travel with Dom. They will now appear at everything together. They will get booed together. They will do all of the things that were Rhea and Dom. And A. it makes her sad I think just because she loves Dom and they're so close and it's a family member who she won't really be around and also because like it's weird, 'No, no, but that really was what I did. That really was my gimmick.' When she was home watching TV, she really did get legitimately annoyed to see Liv and Dom cuz she was like, 'That's mine. That's my thing.'" [From 36:42 to 38:07]

Peter Rosenberg wants Rhea Ripley to have an on-screen romance with another WWE star
While addressing Rhea Ripley's future on his Cheap Heat podcast, former 24/7 Champion Peter Rosenberg suggested that The Eradicator gets into another on-screen romance with her "Terror Twin" Damian Priest.
Priest was also betrayed by the new Judgment Day at SummerSlam as Finn Balor cost him his World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther. As Ripley and The Archer of Infamy will seemingly work together against their former teammates, Rosenberg thinks their close friendship should turn into something more on WWE television:
"I hope at some point we get a Priest/Rhea romantic relationship as well. I think that would be majour. [Those are very tall people in a relationship.] They go together perfectly, and you run it like a friendship, they just have each other's back, they're really just close friends, who are against the new Judgment Day. But then at some point in like two months, it becomes like Ross and Rachel and you're like what's going on here?"
Jey Uso also teased pursuing Ripley ahead of WWE SummerSlam. It would be interesting to see if another WWE Superstar will replace Dominik Mysterio as The Eradicator's on-screen romance.
